H&S Tuners store all tune and firmware data on an SD Card. While uncommon, these SD cards can become corrupted potentially jeopardizing the operation of the tuner. This procedure illustrates how to make a backup of your SD card using Windows 10.

  1. Right-click on the Start icon and select File Explorer from the list.
  2. Double-click on the Documents shortcut on the left hand navigation menu.
  3. While in the Documents folder, click on Home --> New Item --> Folder from the ribbon menu.
  4. Name the folder backup (or a name of your choosing).
  5. Remove the SD Card from your tuner and insert it into an SD Card reader attached to your computer. Your system should recognize the drive and it will show up in the left navigation menu of the File Explorer. It will likely be named for the tuner model you have.
  6. Right-click on this drive and select Copy from the list.
  7. Navigate back to your newly created backup folder. Click on Home --> Paste to copy the files from the SD Card.
  8. Once the files have been transferred, there should be a single folder having the same name as the SD Card Drive. Right-click on this folder and select Send to --> Compressed (zipped) folder.
  9. All of the files will now be compressed into a zip file. When this process is done, you can safely delete the folder from your computer and keep only the zip file.
  10. On the left navigation menu of File Explorer, select your SD Card drive. Right-click and select Eject from the menu. This will safely close the SD Card and you can now return it to your tuner.
